One more sleep...

...till the new catalogue goes live!! It's like Christmas...I can barely contain myself! Before I show you today's countdown project, a couple of reminders...

1) Today is the LAST DAY to order from the 2016/17 Annual Catalogue and the 2017 Occasions Catalogue. All retiring items will be gone for good as of 11:59 pm this evening. Don't miss out on those last few items from your wishlist and live to regret it!

2) While the new catalogue does go live tomorrow (June 1st,) ordering will be unavailable from midnight until 12 noon MT (that's 2:00 pm ET). Try to contain your enthusiasm and be patient while the IT gurus at Stampin' Up transition to the new catalogue. Also keep in mind that demand is likely to be a wee bit high in the first few hours of the release, so the website may be a teensy bit sluggish ;)

Ok...now for today's project...

There are so many awesome new products on this card it is hard to know where to start! The background DSP is from the new Wood Textures DSP stack and it is FABULOUS! Tons of different woodgrain patterns to choose from! Here I went with a worn, distressed painted wood pattern. LOVE IT! The DSP behind the die-cut sentiment is from the Delightful Daisy pack...so soft and pretty! I die-cut a circle from the DSP using the Layering Circles framelits and also used the same dies to cut the scalloped copper circle behind it. The die-cut sentiment is from the new Lovely Words Thinlits. I cut it from copper foil as well.

The die-cut branch and flowers are cut using the new Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I think these may well be my favourite new dies. There are a ton of images (more than 30!) in the set and they may be used for every season. I cut the branch from Crumb Cake card stock and the blossoms from Whisper White that I had lightly sponged with Calypso Coral ink. The stamped sentiment is from the new Wood Words stamp set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake on card stock of the same shade and trimmed it with the Classic Label punch. Now, let me say a word about that awesome coppery texture behind the focal image. That is the new Copper Trim and all I can say is WOW!! It is soooo cool! You can pull and stretch it, as I did here, and if you don't like the way it looks pull it back into its original shape. I am going to have some fun with this stuff...you will too, I promise!

On the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel on which I stamped a sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I added one more die-cut blossom for a little pop of colour.

As I said, there are a TON of new products on this project. In case you missed a few, they are all in the supply list below. You'll want to take note and add them to your Wishlist for sure!

New Catty Countdown Day 2

Happy Tuesday! Just two more sleeps till the new 2017/18 Annual Catalogue goes live! I am soooo excited!
Yesterday I introduced you to the new In-colors by showcase a single project made in each of the five new shades. Today I want to show you just how fabulous ALL FIVE colours look on a single project. Check out this project inspired by Mary Fish...

Are those colours fantastic together?? I don't often use five different colours on a single project, but this colour-blocked look is the perfect way to showcase the new In-Colors. This is actually one of the make-n-takes for my Stampin' Bingo event coming up this Friday evening. Did you notice there is not stamping on the front of this card at all? In place of a stamped sentiment I used the new Happy Birthday Thinlits in Whisper White, which just pops against the colourful background.

I embossed the background panel with a new TIEF called Oh My Stars...so fun!  The only embellishment on this project is some bling provided by a few rhinestones.

On the inside of the card I added some punched balloons in each of the five In-Colors as well as a sentiment from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I stamped it in Basic Black ink and punched the label using the new Pretty Label punch. What an easy way to make a sentiment pop.

All of these products will be available when the new catalogue goes live on Thursday at 12 Noon MT. Be sure to check out the product list below so you can add them to your Wishlist!  I'll be back tomorrow with more new catty goodness. Have a great day!

Catalogue Countdown Week Begins!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Normally I'd be a bit blah, today being Monday and all, but I am SOOOO excited! The new 2017/18 Annual Catalogue goes live this week on Thursday and I can't wait! There are so many amazing new products I can't wait to get my inky little hands on. In anticipation of the big day, I am counting down by showcasing new products all week long. Yep...gonna blog EVERY DAY this week and each post will highlight new products. Excited? Me too!

To kick things off, I thought it only fitting that I introduce you to the new In-Colours...

I already have a favourite, but I'd love to hear which one is yours. Check these out and then leave me a comment identifying your fav new In-Colour.

This one is called Berry Burst and is a true magenta...a colour we have been missing from our colour line-up. It super rich and saturated.

This one is called Fresh Fig. It is a rich purple with quite a bit of a brown undertone. It is deeper than Perfect Plum but not as deep as Elegant Eggplant.

This one is called Tranquil Tide and is a rich teal. It is one of those chameleon colours and can look either blue or green, depending on what it is paired with.

This one is called Lemon Lime Twist and it is the party colour! Bright and vibrant, this is another colour that can look more yellow or green, depending on the other colours in your palette.

Finally, we have Poweder Pink. Falling between Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride, this is a lovely, soft pink that has just a little more substance than Pink Pirouette but is subtler than Blushing Bride.

Now, in addition to the new In-Colurs, I used several other new products on these cards. That beautiful DSP in the background of each card is from the Fresh Florals DSP stack. This jumbo pack of gorgeous paper features four different patterns in each of the new In-Colours and has a total of 40 12" x 12" sheets. The die-cut sentiment is done using the new Happy Birthday thinlits. It is large enough to be the focal image on a project (as it is here), making it quick and easy to make lots of fun birthday cards. On my projects I created a shadow effect by layering two die-cuts, off-setting the top one slightly. The only embellishment on my cards is the coordinating Finely Woven Ribbon in each of the In-Colours. This ribbon is super-soft, has a lovely sheen and ties like a dream. So pretty!

So...which of the new In-Colours is your fav? Inquiring minds want to know! Have a great week...see you tomorrow!
