Time is running out!

Happy Hump Day...and happy last day of August! Can you believe tomorrow is September 1st? That means some BIG things are coming down at Stampin' Up! The brand-new Holiday Catalogue goes live tomorrow...wahooo! Finally you can get your hands on all the new product awesomeness that you've likely been seeing all over the internet for the past month. If you haven't yet got a hard copy, contact me to request your complimentary catalogue today!

Also starting today is a new series of weekly promotions, similar to the old Weekly Deals called Special Offers. There will be three weeks of deals, offering three different sets of products from September 1st - 21st. Items on sale will be discounted 25% for the week that they are featured. At the end of that week, a new set of products will be on sale. To view this week's sale items click the image below:

The end of the month also means the end of current promotions. If you still have Bonus Days coupons left, time is running out to redeem them! They expire at midnight tonight, so don't miss out. Also wrapping up is the Thoughtful Branches product offering. The good news is that there are still limited quantities available and Stampin' Up! will continue to make this awesome bundle of products available until supplies are completely depleted. Remember: these products will never again appear for purchase in any catalogue...this is an exclusive offer. In case you need more convincing, here is another project I put together using the Beautiful Branches dies:

This is a quick and easy Christmas card that I designed for a class last month. I began with a 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock which I ran through the Big Shot using the Woodland TIEF. I layered the embossed piece on a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of silver foil. I layered that on a Night of Navy card base. The tree is die-cut from silver glimmer paper using the Beautiful Branches thinlit dies.

The sentiment, from a long-retired set called More Merry Messages, is stamped in Night of Navy ink. The only embellishments are a bit of 1/8" silver metallic ribbon and an also-retired All is Calm snowflake embellishment to which I added a single rhinestone. This really is a quick and easy card, perfect for mass-producing for Christmas cards.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Blessed Paisleys

Happy Monday. Today marks the final week before I head back to school. I can't believe summer is over...it has gone SO fast. I will be spending this week prepping for the start of classes next Tuesday...let the insanity begin!
Today I have another fall-inspired project that uses the most unlikely colour combo ever: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze and Tempting Turquoise...

I designed this card for an upcoming class this fall and I have to say I absolutely love it! I began by sponging a 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock using Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Tempting Turquoise inks. I then stamped several of the images from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed in copper. I layered the embossed panel on a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Cajun Craze card stock before mounting it on a Soft Suede card base.

The sentiment, which is from the same stamp set, is stamped in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I added a die-cut paisley, cut from copper foil sheets using the Paisley Framelits, as well as some copper metallic thread.

On the inside I added a Very Vanilla panel on which I stamped several of the paisley images using Cajun Craze and Soft Suede inks. I am SOO loving this stamp set!

Have a marvelous Monday :)

Coppery Thanks

Happy Sunday! As hard as it is to believe, this is the last true weekend of summer. Next weekend is Labour Day, which signals the end to carefree summer days and the beginning of fall. Today also marks the beginning of a new sketch challenge over at Sunday Stamps. Check it out...

Since fall is on my mind, here is what I came up with for the Design Team:

I have to admit, the product I am most excited about in the new Holiday Catalogue is the Copper Foil Sheets. I LOVE them...especially when they're embossed. Here I first die cut one corner of the 4" x 5-1/4" panel using the Botanical Builders Framelits and then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst TIEF. SO pretty! I layered the embossed copper sheet on a same-sized-piece of Cajun Craze card stock. The leaves are from the Vintage Leaves stamp set, I stamped one in Early Epresso ink on Cajun Craze card stock and the other I heat embossed in copper on vellum card stock. I die-cut both using the Leaflets framelits.

I added some Delightful Dijon ribbon from the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack in the Holiday Catalogue...it is so soft and has a lovely sheen...gorgeous ribbon! I needed a sentiment but didn't want to add another layer to take away from that embossed copper, so I pulled out an Expressions Natural Element (retired) from my stash...so glad I hoarded held onto some of those!

On the inside I added a Very Vanilla card stock panel on which I stamped more leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set in Early Espresso ink.

This sketch has so many possibilities. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's ideas and then share your own take on it with us over at Sunday Stamps.

Have a super Sunday!
